About me
With a background in NHS safeguarding governance and long-standing experience in delivering, shaping and overseeing safeguarding frameworks across health, social care and community settings — I understand the challenges organisations face when seeking to embed effective safeguarding practice.
As someone who has worked at system, regional and operational levels — including DoLS, LeDeR, safeguarding board work, policy development, audit, governance and leadership oversight — I bring practical insight, strategic vision and a commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred, equitable safeguarding.
I launched CJ Consultancy to offer independent, high-quality safeguarding support — bridging the gap between policy, practice and leadership.
My approach is: professional yet personable; rigorous yet realistic; grounded in evidence and best practice while rooted in empathy, respect and fairness.
